A belated congratulations to the Los Angeles Kings

I’m not a hockey fan by any means, but I do love Southern California and am very happy to have a local team bring home a championship and all the joy that comes with it.  Congrats Kings.

There is no better trophy in sports than the Stanley Cup.  There is only one and it goes from team to team every year, and the championship team has the name of the team and players engraved on the trophy.  The trophy was named for Lord Stanley of Preston whose statue in Vancouver’s Stanley Park looks a whole lot like Vladamir Lenin.

If you’re in LA, avoid Figueroa today because they are holding a parade in celebration of the Kings’ first Stanley Cup victory.
