Say it ain’t so, Fred!

Emmy nominations went out today, but screw that.  There’s bigger entertainment news today.

Fred Willard, one of the funniest men in film and television, has been arrested for lewd conduct in an adult movie theater in Hollywood.  I expect he’ll have something hilarious to say about it once he’s out of trouble.  Also, he looks great for 72.  In fact, him being 72 is actually the most surprising thing about this whole mess to me.  I figured he was in his late 50s.

It’s a bad situation, but I just don’t care if someone was  jerking it in a porno theater.  I’ve never been to one, but I always just assumed that “lewd conduct” was the norm for a place that screens porn and doesn’t allow anyone in under the age of 18.  Fred, being a public figure, should have known better, but honestly, I’m a little surprised that police didn’t have something better to do.  It’s not like he was on a park bench across from a playground.
