NBC dumbing itself down for ratings

The peacock network is home to most of the TV I watch. Even most of the cancelled shows I watch on Netflix were on NBC at one point (looking at you Life). Sure it doesn’t have the best ratings, but it is a source of quality programming that the people who run it should (mostly) be proud of. Unfortunately, the business world values money over integrity, so you can expect to get some dumbed down programming in the near future.
NBC doesn’t describe it as making their sitcoms dumber or targeting the lowest common denominator. They described it as broadening. Regardless, you can expect shows like Community, 30 Rock, The Office and Parks and Recreation to disappear from their network in favor of shows that are more like Two and a Half Men and other dumb crap people who don’t use the internet to watch TV watch. I guess NBC knows that the kind of people who watch dumb TV shows are the kind of people who are dumb enough to buy toilet paper because of a commercial with a cartoon bear rubbing his ass on a tree to pass some kind of inspection from his bear mom.
