Bob Hoskins retires

This isn’t true of very many people, but when I see Bob Hoskins on the screen I stop and watch.  He’s one of those rare actors who makes any movie better.

Unfortunately, Mr. Hoskins has announced that he is retiring from acting because he has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.  Having seen the devastating effects of Parkinson’s disease in my own family, I wish him nothing but the best.
